Either way, Cain was probably right in fearing his own family. Cain could have had younger brothers and. They may have sought revenge for Abel's death or they may have noticed God's hand of protection was lifted off Cain, and he and his possessions were vulnerable. Along the same lines, there is nothing in the Bible that says Adam and Eve had no children between Abel and Seth. It was simply his brothers and sisters and their families. We don't have to invent a pre-Adamic race to explain of whom Cain was afraid after he killed Abel. Again, that is plenty of time for Adam and Eve's descendants to accumulate. Based on the biblical story of Adam and Eves first two sons, Cain and Abel is. If 130 years started from the time Adam left Eden or if Adam and Eve ate the fruit shortly after they were created, and if Eve got pregnant with Seth immediately after Abel's death, Cain could have been as much as 128 years old when the murder occurred. Cain and Abel: With So Ji-seob, Hyeon-jun Shin, Han Ji-min, Jeong-an Chae. Seth was born sometime after Abel's murder. Genesis 5:3 says that Adam was 130 years old when Seth was born. All that can really be inferred is that they lived somewhat close to each other. The ages of Cain and Abel are not given. With the near-perfect genetics of the second generation, their fertility would not be in question. Cain could have had younger brothers and sisters, as well. Along the same lines, there is nothing in the Bible that says Adam and Eve had no children between Abel and Seth. If Cain was not the first born, he would have had older brothers and sisters who had spread out with their own families. It could be that Cain and Abel were the first of Adam and Eve's children to be worthy of a story. It is customary for the Bible to list the firstborn first, but not mandatory. Genesis 4:1 gives the first time a child of Adam and Eve's is mentioned, but it does not necessarily follow that Cain was their firstborn. There are several unprovable presumptions in this line of thinking: So of whom was Cain afraid? Does this prove that God made another race of people before Adam and Eve (because the text doesn't mention any other people, except Cain's wife in verse 17)? God curses Cain with a difficult life and exile, and in verse 14, Cain expresses fear that someone else will be aware of his vulnerable position and kill him. God accepts Abel's sacrifice, but not Cain's (we're not told why, but it's speculated that it's either because Cain didn't sacrifice with a pure heart or only Abel's required the shedding of blood). Certainly not the descendants of Adam and Eve, if folks in Nod were already there and established If science books left out this much information, they wouldnt be around long. Where in heck did the people in Nod come from. In the ensuing verses, Cain sacrifices crops to God while Abel sacrifices sheep. If Adam and Eve had two sons initially, Cain and Abel, and after slewing Abel Cain went off to the Land of Nod to marry. Genesis 4 gives the account of Cain and Abel. As a result, it was safe for them to intermarry. After Cain killed Abel, whom did he have to fear? Adam and Eve’s children had few, if any, genetic defects. Adam and Eve did not have any genetic defects, and that enabled them and the first few generations of their descendants to have a far greater quality of health than we do now. The human genetic code has become increasingly “polluted” over the centuries as genetic defects are multiplied, amplified, and passed down from generation to generation. When people from different families have children, it is highly unlikely that both parents will carry the same recessive traits. The reason that incest today often results in genetic abnormalities is that when two people of similar genetics (i.e., a brother and sister) have children together, there is a high risk of their recessive characteristics becoming dominant. God did not forbid inter-family marriage until much later when there were enough people to make intermarriage unnecessary (Leviticus 18:6-18). Since Adam and Eve were the first (and only) human beings, their children would have no other choice than to intermarry.
